Hello SCC Kids and families,

I hope you are all having a wonderful week and a wonderful summer. Sometimes life can be a little scary or overwhelming. You may be feeling nervous about going back to school. Or maybe you are a little scared of things you hear in the news or you hear grown ups talk about. I have some good news...God gives us extraordinary courage during these times! There are many verses in the bible where God gives people courage. This week we are learning the story of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. When King Nebuchadnezzar told everyone to worship a statue instead of God or they would be thrown into a fiery furnace, they knew that wasn't the right thing to do. God was with them and gave them extraordinary courage to do the right thing. Sometimes it can be scary to do what we know is right, especially when it seems everyone else is doing something else. During these times you can pray to God and he will give you courage. If you ever need someone to pray with you, you can call, text or email me.
