Elementary June Week 3 - God Helps Me Learn From My Mistakes

Hello SCC Kids!

Is everyone staying nice and cool this week? Man, it's hot outside! Did you know that when it's hot outside it can affect the power in your house? It's true! I made a big mistake tonight while cooking dinner. You see, I was using the air fryer, the instant pot and the microwave all at the same time. All of a sudden, they all turned off and nothing was getting cooked! I thought dinner was ruined for sure. Mr. Dan came out and helped me fix it and I was able to save dinner. Boy, did I learn a valuable lesson. When it's really hot outside, don't try to use a bunch of appliances all at once! I won't make that mistake again. That's the thing about mistakes. We all make them, but we can always learn from them. Our Bible story this week teaches us that even when we make a big mistake, we can pray to God for help and He will help us learn from our mistake! Some mistakes can turn into beautiful things. Like my potatoes, because they sat a little longer, the sauce they were in got nice and flavorful. They were delicious! So next time you make a mistake, try not to get upset or frustrated. Take a deep breath, pray and see how you can learn from it! I think you will be pleasantly surprised.
