Elementary November Week 1- When Things Go Wrong, I Can Choose What's Right

Posted: 10/31/2021

Hello SCC Kids!

I hope everyone has had a wonderful and fun week. A lot of you have had parties and celebrations. I bet you got a lot of treats, maybe even got to wear costumes! It sure is a fun time of year, isn't it? Sometimes we can get so excited and wrapped up in all the fun that it's hard to make the right choices. Maybe you forget to share your treats, or stay up too late and get a little grumpy with mom and dad. Or maybe your friends wanted to watch a scary movie that your parents wouldn't want you to watch. They might even make fun of you for not watching it. When these kind of things happen, it's hard to make the right choice. Did you know there are people who can help us make those choices? There are even people in the Bible who can help us!

For the month of November, we will be learning about some special messengers in the Bible called prophets. This week we meet Micah. Micah had a big choice to make. God told him what the right choice was, but if Micah listened to God a lot of people might make fun of him. We learn that even if it's not the popular choice, God will always help us choose what's right!

While you're all out there celebrating, remember to always make good choices! Ask God for help if you need to. Have fun! I love you and God loves you too!

Love,

Ms. Brandy
