Elementary November Week 2 - When I Worship God, I Can Be Sincere

Posted: 11/7/2021

Hi SCC Kids!

Did everyone have a super fun week last week? I SINCERELY hope so! Do you know what the word, "sincere" means? Sincere is when you say something that is true and your actions back it up. Let me ask you a question, do you love your parents? You do, awesome! Do you show them you love them all the time? I'm sure you try to really really hard, but sometimes our actions don't show love. Maybe you said something mean to them, or didn't listen when they told you to do something. These are not sincere loving acts. When you show your parents love by listening, telling them nice things, or giving them hugs or pretty pictures you made, this is sincere and your parents really appreciate it!

This week we meet another prophet from the Bible, Amos. God wanted Amos to teach everyone about being sincere. It is one thing to say we love God, but God wants us to show Him that love through our actions. We can show God we love Him by worshiping Him, reading the Bible and loving others! Being sincere makes me feel happy, how about you? What are some things you can do this week to show God you are sincere? I would love to hear all about it!

Have an awesome week, SCC Kids! I love you and God loves you too!

Love,

Ms. Brandy
